Beyond the screen · Student organization
West Ranch Law
Applying technical thinking inside a student-led civic organization.
Director of Technology & Innovation
Technology work inside a student civic organization, at the intersection of communication and student education.
01 · Organization
A civic and legal learning community.
West Ranch Law is a student-led organization based in Santa Clarita and partnered with local schools. Its public mission centers on civic literacy, legal education, constitutional debate, student publishing, and opportunities to develop research, writing, public-speaking, and leadership skills.

02 · My role
Technology as organizational capability
My confirmed title was Director of Technology & Innovation. Public sources do not identify individual deliverables, so this entry stays at the level the evidence supports: a technology-and-innovation remit inside a student-led civic organization where communication, publishing, and operations all matter.
Initiative
Taking on a formal technology-and-innovation remit in a student-led organization expanded my work beyond a conventional software project.
Communication
The experience placed technical thinking in a civic and editorial environment shaped by discussion, writing, and collaboration.
Technical thinking
It reinforced that technology can be an organizational capability, not only a product or a codebase.
Applied leadership
The role connected technology and innovation to the practical needs of a real student-led organization.
03 · Evidence boundary
Clear about what I can claim.
Evidence boundary: the organization description comes from West Ranch Law’s public website and Instagram profile; I confirm the role title. This is civic context outside the product case studies—not a claim that I founded the organization, built its website, owned its publishing platform, or produced a specific measurable result.
